About us

Established in 1998 as "ASIGURAREA ROMAS - CECCAR“, the company started as a professional insurance company for the members of the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania.
In the next period, it developed most of the life and general insurance products as well as the activity related to the administration of facultative pension funds.

In 2005, the majority shares package was acquired by the Hungarian financial group, OTP Bank, and the name of the company became "OTP GARANCIA ASIGURĂRI“ until 2008 when, the French group, GROUPAMA, acquired the entire shares package and also changed the name of the company in "ONIX ASIGURĂRI“.

In 2012 the shares package was taken over by the current shareholders, in the present structure.
For the future period, as development strategy, the company aims to diversify its insurance products within the guarantee policies category, targets to become a long-term partner in this field for both the collaborating brokers and its traditional clients, in Romania and in the European Countries where it is authorized.
